Jay was born and raised in Halifax, Virginia. He is a 2003 graduate of Virginia Tech with a major in property management, and has many years experience in residential and commercial construction & maintenance.  He has built and performed remodels on numerous homes throughout Halifax County and appreciates attention to detail in carpentry and woodworking.  Jay currently works full-time as a project manager for J.E. Burton Construction Company and spends his remaining time selling & investing in real estate.   He enjoys working because it was instilled in him at an early age; but he says his true passion is spending time with his wife Taylor, sons Bowen and Lane, and daughter Raney.
